CASTLE THEATER, I THINK YOU’RE TRYING TO SEDUCE ME!
With a theme of “Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and a Good Thyme” the evening featured performances by the Milwaukee duo, Kevin Patrick and Greg Gerard. From a cozy stage setup the two resurrected a battery of Simon and Garfunkel’s finest compositions, including “Scarborough Fair,” “Sound of Silence,” “Homeward Bound,” and “The Boxer.”
The seduction continued throughout the evening as the service staff flirted its way around the room with offerings of fresh breads and salads, sage stuffing, oven-fried sweet potatoes infused with rosemary, and succulent parsley chicken prepared by the house master chef, Jody Wittnebel. An intoxicating and almost sinful aroma of dining satisfaction filled the entire theater!
Guests were treated to a variety of video entertainment as well, including a couple of rounds of video trivia which featured classic clips of Paul and Artie, selections from their 1969 documentary, “Songs Of America,” and a heartwarming slideshow by local photographer Mark Prueschl set to the S&G tune, “My Little Town.”
The show closed with a Patrick & Gerard rendition of Paul Simon’s “Late In The Evening” when they were joined by the service staff, which created a conga line, and showed off some very tantalizing dance moves!
Guests exited the Castle feelin’ groovier than me and Julio down by the schoolyard! Here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson…and Paul…and Artie…The Castle Theater loves you more than you will know…whoa, whoa, whoa!!
